Micro Task

The media piece that myself, Brandon and jack made was the genre Thriller. The Thriller genre is when you put the audience in suspense, and also excitement. They are also supposed to be adrenaline rushing and fast pace. With this we decided to make our small movie a Crime Thriller. We did this by setting it in a forest with only the protagonist there. We did this because we wanted to make the audience like they were under suspense for the protagonist, and we went even further by having a antagonist appear at the end for am split second.
What we did which is typical in a thriller crime scene is firstly set it in a dark room with only a little bit of light to show where the action is happening. And we also added a lot of props in which the protagonist can go and find and figure out what happened in the crime scene, which also creates more suspense with each object found because the audience knows how the person was killed. This is also used in many other pieces of media of this same genre so we tried to make it as close as possible so you can tell what the genre is.
The media piece we made is representing middle aged/older men as smart and can work out crimes easily. We also represent in our clip young adults on being the murderer, which isn't like other Thriller genre movies as an older person is usually the antagonist, and we are showing them to be violent and can kill people. And finally we represent teenagers as being the victim, and we did this by scattering teenager type clothes around to show to the audience that a teenager has been killed, and we did this because teenagers are stereotyped as always being in trouble.
